Experience and understanding

To understand is just a small part of an experience. When we experience a phenomenon we often search for understanding. But a true experience is being with a phenomenon, to participate in the world, and not being a spectator analyzing the world. To experience is to engage in the world, which brings forth a synthetic kind of understanding.
